1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Email address, username, password (encrypted), profile picture
• Health and Fitness Data: Weight, height, body measurements, fitness level, goals, workout history, exercise data, personal records
• Usage Data: Features accessed, workout frequency, session duration, preferences, in-app behavior
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, device identifier
• Technical Data: IP address, timestamps, error logs, performance metrics

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide and personalize your fitness tracking experience
• Deliver tailored workout recommendations based on your profile
• Send reminders, notifications, and progress updates
• Identify and fix technical issues, crashes, and performance problems
• Improve app features and develop new functionality
• Understand aggregate usage patterns and user engagement
• Send important service announcements and policy updates
• Ensure account security and detect fraudulent activity

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We DO NOT sell your data to third parties or advertisers. We do NOT share your personal or health information with marketing or advertising companies, data brokers, or other fitness applications.

We may share data only when:

• Required by law, court order, or government request
• Necessary to protect security and prevent fraud
• With service providers (Google, Apple for authentication) who sign privacy agreements

4. Data Security and Encryption

Your data is protected using:

• End-to-end encryption for data in transit (TLS 1.2)
• Encryption at rest using platform-level security
• Secure token storage using encrypted device storage
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments

We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong password and enabling device lock.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Workout and fitness data: Retained until you delete them
• Account data after deletion: 90 days (legal and compliance hold)
• Analytics and usage logs: 30 days
• Backup copies: Removed within 90 days of deletion

You can delete individual workouts or your entire account anytime in Settings.

6. Your Privacy Rights and Controls

You have the right to:

• Export Your Data: Download all your information in portable format (Settings > Account > Export Data)
• Delete Your Account: Remove all personal data permanently (Settings > Account > Delete Account)
• Manage Preferences: Control optional features and communications (Settings > Privacy)
• Opt-Out: Disable analytics, notifications, and non-essential data collection

7. Analytics and Optional Tracking

App usage analytics (feature usage, session length, interaction patterns) are optional and require your explicit consent. You can enable or disable analytics anytime in Settings without affecting core app functionality. Disabling analytics will not prevent you from using Fitness Wiz.

8. Authentication and Third-Party Services

We use Google and Apple for secure authentication (sign-in). We do NOT access your Google or Apple account data beyond confirming your identity. No payment, contact, or personal information is transferred from these services. Consult Google and Apple's privacy policies for details on their data practices.

9. Your Rights in Europe and California

If you reside in the EU, California, or other jurisdictions with privacy laws, you have enhanced rights including:

• Right to access: Know what data we hold about you
• Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate information
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Right to portability: Receive your data in a portable format
• Right to object: Oppose certain processing activities
• Right to restrict: Limit how we use your data
• No discrimination: Exercising these rights has no adverse effect

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Fitness Wiz does not use cookies or web-based tracking technologies. We use local device storage to remember your preferences and authentication tokens.

11. Special Category Data

Your health and fitness data are treated as sensitive information under privacy laws. We process this data only with your explicit consent and use it solely for the purposes you authorize. You can withdraw consent anytime in Settings.

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in different countries. We implement appropriate safeguards (encryption, data processing agreements) to protect your information when transferring data internationally.

13. Changes to Privacy Policy

We will notify you of material privacy policy changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
